I don't know of a specific recommended level, but in general, in the Ys games, if you're doing too little damage, go and make sure your weapons are adequately upgraded at the blacksmith, and maybe gain a level or two. What I want to know: Is Felghana a lot harder to get strong? I don't mind grinding as long as the exp isn't ridiculously low like 2 digit exp when you need thousands of exp.

WEBThere will not be a lot of grinding no matter what difficulty you choose in this game. You'll just get a different experience curve. Basically, the experience given by enemies in each new area increases at a sharp exponential curve, so you'll quickly hit a wall where it becomes next to impossible to level any further without spending huge amounts of time .

WEBYeah, Antonio gives you 50 gold per piece, but he only buys 260 ore from you per game. It would be really nice if he bought more. Playing through the game multiple times is much less efficient than just grinding out the cash, but... with the prohibitively high cost, I get the idea you're not supposed to be able to grind everything to the max level so easily.
