WEBJan 3, 2012 · I have an 860C mill that I am going to be installing a DRO on soon. Does anyone have any pictures or advice for a DRO installation on their Wells Index 800 series mill? I have installed several 3axis (quill) DRO's on Bridgeports their clones but the Wells pose some challenges, especially on the quill and/or knee.
WEBJan 22, 2006 · The 847 we have now was sitting next to a bridgeport in a shop we were sharing for a while and it made the bridgeport look like an Enco benchtop mill. They are some beautiful beefy machines. Ironhead, buy the damn thing, WellsIndex's are fantastic machines, the 860 looks to be the same as an 847 with a horizontal spindle on it.
